the Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music

The Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music at Kennesaw State University is a vibrant hub of musical talent and education. Under the direction of Dr. Nathan Nabb, with over 250 students and more than 80 dedicated faculty and staff, the school is committed to advancing music education, performance, and scholarship. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and designated as an All-Steinway School, the Bailey School of Music prepares the next generation of music educators, performers, composers, and theorists. Graduates of the program regularly excel in prestigious competitions, enter top-tier graduate programs, or embark on professional music education careers, embodying excellence both in the classroom and on stage.

The Kennesaw State University Band Program, originating in 1996 as a small community concert band, has grown into one of the largest collegiate programs in Georgia. Supporting over 450 students across five major ensembles, including auditioned groups like the Wind Ensemble and Marching Owls, the program draws participants from every college and degree program on KSU's campuses. Guided by expert conductors and fueled by a passion for musical excellence, the KSU Bands showcase the talent and dedication of both music majors and students from diverse disciplines, continuing to elevate the university's reputation for outstanding music education and performance.
